Support Worker

Standby Healthcare are currently looking for experienced and flexible Support Workers to work full time hours within special educational needs school outside of Preston, towards Ribchester. To apply, you must be able to commute easily and have experience working with young people.

Experience working with young people is desirable, as well as being able to quickly progress through the compliance process. There are vacancies for both temporary workers as well as permanent roles with the company. If you are interested in a permanent position, this will be done through a temp to perm process.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading provider of specialist support to young persons. As part of this partnership, there will also be the opportunity of permanent employment with the client.

As part of your job role, you will support and supervise young people in their learning environment. One school supports those with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will work together with experienced and qualified staff to encourage a happy and supportive community. The second school is a specialist day and residential setting for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions. You will work with staff to ensure that students have the best opportunity to excel.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be able to commute to Preston easily

• Have experience working in SEN environments

• Have experience working with those under 18

• At least 6 months UK healthcare experience

• Have a transferrable, or be able to complete, an enhanced DBS
