Say hello to our newest Recruitment Consultant, Charlotte!

We're so excited to be welcoming Charlotte to our team! So, to get to know her a little better, we took the time to sit down with her to talk about herself and everything she'll be getting up to in her new role.

Take a look at what she had to say ...

Tell us a bit about you, for instance, what do you do in your spare time?

My spare time is usually spent chasing my wild toddler around a soft play or a farm of some description. My favourite thing to do is spend time with my little one. If I'm not being a mam or at work I'm usually found with my friends somewhere enjoying some nice food and a few cocktails somewhere in Newcastle or Durham. If you'd asked me this pre- child I'd have said I was often found spitting fire and teaching myself circus skills!

What does your job role involve?

My role involves working closely with clients to develop a relationship and understand their needs to help provide them with amazing staff. I spend a lot of time with my clients and meeting service users so I can get the knowledge I need to find the perfect staff to work in the service.

It's so important to me to understand the services and all their triggers and what they like and don't like - even down to how they like their bacon sarnies made! I can't express enough how much my favourite part of my job is client visits!

Why do you enjoy working in care and support work?

One of my favourite things is service visits - one of my all time favourite visits was spent sitting talking to the staff and service users at a new service, the service users spoke to me about my hair being a funny colour, showed off the tricks they could do in their wheel chairs and told me their best jokes. That is why I love working in care and support. It's about knowing that the service users are happy and safe with the staff I provide and that I  get to be part of their lives even if it is in a small way!

What’s your favourite thing about being based in Newcastle?

The food! Haha - I'm such a food orientated person and love nothing more than treating myself to something tasty and finding new places to grab a bite to eat or an iced latte. Also the views! Every morning I drive along the Quayside and take in the views and it always makes me feel so happy!

We'd love if you could join us in sharing a warm welcome to Charlotte, we're sure she's going to be an asset to our team!
