Registered Manager - Supported Living (Young Adults)

Standby Healthcare are recruiting for a Registered Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to set up and run a new home offering supported living to young adults aged 16-18. You will have support from an experienced senior management team.

  • Key Responsibilities


You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the new home operates efficiently and meets all regulatory and quality standards, while also building positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders.

Recruit, lead, and develop a young-person-centred care team.

Develop and implement tailored care and risk management plans.

Maintain high safeguarding standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Manage budgets, resources, and day-to-day operations.

Drive continuous improvement and maintain a culture of excellence.


The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in children’s residential care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted, safeguarding, and best practice.
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ diploma in Residential Childcare/Health and Social Care Children’s Workforce (Or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Willing to undertake a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare if not already obtained.
  • A clear DBS and positive references from all companies where you have worked with children or vulnerable adults.
  • UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
