Registered Manager – Children’s Residential

  • £50,000 - £70,000 per annum plus bonus

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to join an established provider of children’s homes. Due to company growth, they are expanding their fantastic team who are dedicated to providing support to children with complex needs, learning disabilities, communication difficulties and/or neurodevelopment disabilities. This is a full time, permanent position for 40 hours per week.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that records such as care plans, risk assessments and anti-bullying plans are updated and reviewed.

- Commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our children.

- Working with the management team to ensure that we achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.

- Be an inspirational leader to our team.

- Supporting the induction of staff, ongoing training, managing performance, allocation of duties and responsibilities, managing shifts, record keeping and reports, budgets, petty cash, staff deployment and day to day supervision and oversight of the staff and young people.


The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within the residential care sector.

- Proven ability to provide consistent care and support to children, including those who may display challenging behaviour.

- Previous experience as a deputy manager, with at least 2 years in a role relevant to the residential care of children.

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

- Full UK driving licence is essential.

- Willingness to obtain a Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years (if not already held).

- UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
